How to move your antivirus subscription to a new computer

Most security subscriptions are tied to your account, not to a single PC. When you replace a computer you can usually move the protection across.

Norton

1. Sign in to your Norton account.
2. Under Device Security, remove the old device or choose “Install on another device”.
3. Download Norton on the new PC and sign in.

McAfee

1. Sign in at your McAfee account page.
2. Deactivate the old device under My Account → Subscriptions.
3. Click “Add device” and install on the new PC.

AVG

1. Uninstall AVG from the old PC if you still have it, or remove the device in your AVG account.
2. Install AVG on the new PC.
3. Go to Menu → Enter activation code and use your existing code.
