How to activate your Norton licence key

Norton keys are redeemed in a Norton account. Once redeemed, the subscription is attached to that account and you install Norton on each device from there.

Before you start

  • Uninstall any other antivirus program first – two real-time scanners on one device can conflict.
  • Have your 25-character key from your order email or your account ready.
  • Make sure the key's region matches where your Norton account is registered (US, EU, UK or Global).

    Open the Norton setup page

    In your browser go to the official Norton setup page (norton.com/setup) and choose “Enter a product key”.

    Sign in or create an account

    Sign in with your existing Norton account, or create a free one. The subscription will be linked to this account.

    Enter your key

    Type or paste your product key exactly as shown, including dashes, and confirm.

    Download and install

    Click “Agree & Download” and run the installer on this device. Repeat from “Install on another device” in your Norton account for each additional device covered by your plan.

    Check your subscription

    Open Norton → My Norton → Subscription to confirm the remaining days and number of devices.

Troubleshooting

“This key is not valid”

Check for confusion between O/0 and I/1 and that you copied the whole key. Then confirm the key's region matches your account country. If it still fails, contact us – do not try the key repeatedly.

I already have an active Norton subscription

Entering a new key on the same account normally extends the existing subscription by the new term.

Auto-renewal

Norton may switch on automatic renewal in your account. You can turn it off under My Norton → My Subscriptions.
