How to activate Microsoft Office and Windows keys
Microsoft 365 and Office keys are redeemed in your Microsoft account; Windows keys are entered on the PC in Settings.
Before you start
- Office/Microsoft 365: sign in with the Microsoft account you want the licence attached to.
- Windows: make sure the installed edition (Home or Pro) matches your key.

Microsoft 365 / Office: open the setup page
Go to the official Microsoft setup page (microsoft365.com/setup or office.com/setup) and sign in with your Microsoft account.

Enter your product key
Enter the 25-character key, choose your country/region and language, and confirm. The product appears under Services & subscriptions in your Microsoft account.

Install the apps
From your Microsoft account choose “Install” and run the installer. Sign in inside Word or Excel to finish activation.

Windows: open activation settings
On the PC open Settings → System → Activation (Windows 11) and choose “Change product key”.

Windows: enter the key
Enter the 25-character key and click Next → Activate. You need an internet connection.
Troubleshooting
Windows says the key is for a different edition
A Windows 11 Pro key can upgrade Home to Pro from the same screen. A Home key cannot activate Pro – contact us if you bought the wrong edition before activating.
Office asks me to sign in again
Use the same Microsoft account you redeemed the key with; the licence is tied to that account.
Error 0xC004C003 or “key blocked”
Stop and contact us with a screenshot. Do not retry the key many times.
