How to activate your AVG licence key
AVG products are activated directly inside the installed AVG application using your activation code.
Before you start
- Uninstall other antivirus software.
- Download the AVG product you bought from the official AVG website (avg.com).

Install the AVG app
Download and install the matching AVG product (for example AVG Internet Security or AVG Ultimate) from avg.com.

Open the menu
Open AVG and go to ☰ Menu → “Enter activation code”.

Enter your code
Type or paste your activation code exactly as shown, including the dashes, and click “Enter”.

Confirm
AVG will show your subscription and its expiry date. For multi-device plans, repeat on each device with the same code.
Troubleshooting
“Invalid code”
Make sure you installed the product the key is for – an AVG Ultimate code will not activate AVG TuneUp alone, and vice versa.
Using AVG on a Mac or phone
Use the same activation code in the AVG app on that device (Settings → Subscription → Enter activation code).
